direct-to-consumer outlet for Acorn Media
U.S. home video releases and other high-quality
merchandise. With a mission to provide exceptional
entertainment, imaginative gifts, and uncommon
quality, Acorn Direct markets its product
line via Acorn, a print catalog, and at www.acornonline.com.
Other marketing initiatives include direct
TV and web affiliate campaigns.
In a listing of the 200 fastest-growing
catalogs in the nation published in the March
2004 issue of Catalog Success magazine, Acorn
ranked 16th overall and first among general
home video catalogs. In 2004, Acorn Direct
plans to mail 10 million catalogs.
The catalog is produced out
of the Acorn office located in the St. Paul-Minneapolis
area; the web sales and other marketing activities
are based at corporate headquarters in Silver
Spring, Maryland.
